EPPEI Strategy
The development of professional skills in the power industry to achieve economic growth and overcome the challenges of unemployment and poverty is given priority in this multidisciplinary approach to teaching and mentorship. Academic specialists at eight national specialisation centres in six leading universities, together with eight additional partner universities in South Africa, team up with industry specialists to teach, mentor and guide our power industry students. In addition special focus is on the research and training in new technologies that will reduce polluting industry emissions and so lesson the carbon footprint in the production of South Africa’s energy.
